Sally K. Smith is an artist living and working in Berkeley, California. She was born in 1966 in Provo, Utah. She received her B.A. in music and human biology from Stanford University where she was a concert pianist. She subsequently earned a law degree and practiced corporate law before becoming a full time oil painter. Smith studied drawing and oil painting at the Cambridge Center Studio School in Massachusetts from 1998-2001, and printmaking at City College of San Francisco from 2001-2002. Smith’s work can be found in art collections worldwide including the Hanjin Shipping Company, Seoul, Korea and private art collections in Berlin, Cologne, Zurich, Boston, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Recent solo exhibitions include From Berkeley to Siberia, at Vintage Berkeley, Berkeley, CA; People and Places at Elizabeth H, Oakland, CA; and Intimate and About at McGuire Real Estate, Berkeley, CA. She also teaches private oil painting lessons at her studio in Berkeley.
