Another holiday season is in full swing here in The Delmar Loop.  We encourage you to take an hour or so to stroll down this amazing street – enjoy the lack of construction, have a drink in a great bar, dinner in one of the dozen locally owned and award winning restaurants, bowl, see a movie or a concert, and, of course, do some or all of your holiday shopping at our small businesses.

Christmas makes me a bit nostalgic for the Christmases of my childhood.  Baking, decorating cookies with my sister, holiday lights – I loved it all.  My Grandmother made the decorations for the tree and a lot of our presents (clothes for us and sometimes a matching outfit for our dolls).  My mother put a lot of time and effort into each present – matching that perfect item with the perfect person – and she cherished each happy smile or gasp of awe when the package was unwrapped.

John Salozzo joins the gallery with his bold pop images.  You may recognize his style from the 1986 Boston cover.  His meticulous attention to details makes every image pop off the canvas!

Paul Jeselskis brings texture to functional and decorative porcelain pottery.  Great shapes and textures in yellows, blues, and rose hues, brighten up your home!

Machiko Erhard’s arrival brings a touch of functional whimsy to the gallery with mugs, bowls, butter dishes and pigs!  These irresistible ceramic pieces will make you smile!

The Loop Trolley construction progressed to the East end of The Delmar Loop last week.  Construction is expected to continue for the next 3 weeks.

Although street parking is limited, there are PLENTY OF FREE PARKING spots behind The Pageant!

Finally, just in time for Father’s Day weekend, KC Photographers Glen and Gayle Wans will be in the gallery for two days.  Stop in Friday, June 19 from 6 to 9 to see their new work AND taste test beer from Morgan Street Brewery!  The Wans will be back on Saturday from Noon to 4 pm.  There will be a variety of prints available for sale – both framed and unframed during this 2 day event.
